Dermalogics Clinic is managed by award-winning clinician Dr. Desmer. Destang, US board certified, and accomplished in aesthetic medicine since 2008. She has been in practice for 20 years, and holds masters degrees in Orthodontics, Dermatology & Aesthetic medicine.
She has studied with, and been mentored by some of the most respected and prestigious names in dermatology & facial aesthetics,
Dr. Destang is extensively trained in the advanced Aesthetic use of Botox®, dermal fillers, PRP treatments, medical micro-needling, chemical peels, skin analysis, facial analysis, microdermabrasion, carbon dioxide (carboxy) therapy, medical lasers, and PDO facial lifts. Her special interests are in aesthetic conditions of skin of color, microneedling, & mandelic acid peels.
As a board certified Aesthetic Physician, she has intimate knowledge of facial anatomy, facial aesthetics, ethnic skin, photo-damaged skin, aging skin, skin rejuvenation and weight-loss procedures.
She also serves as an educator and is on the teaching faculty for the training of other physicians in aesthetic medicine. Dr. Destang is highly involved in clinical research, and lectures professionally. She was one of the first clinicians to research and advocate medical micro-needling and mandelic acid peels on darker ethnic skin, is internationally published, and has received world-wide recognition for her academic dedication & contributions to aesthetic medicine.
Her perfectionist nature and passion for delivering results for her patients has also led her to work with some of the best FDA labs in the USA to create and formulate custom products, made to suit her patients, and their skin care corrective needs.
Dr. Destang is one of the most knowledgeable practitioners in the Caribbean on non-surgical medical facial rejuvenation and aesthetic dermatology. Her quest for remaining current within the industry ensures that she is aware of all available options for her patients.
SINCE 2013, Dr. Destang has been instrumental in introducing the high quality, standardized Aesthetic Medicine teaching education of the AAAM to the Caribbean Region.
